Dr. Vaakiny Raguthevan was raised in Markham, Ontario. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. She is happy to do your eye exam in English or Tamil.
She has prior experience providing eye care in a rural setting at various clinics in Southwestern Ontario. She has also volunteered on mission trips to provide eye care to underserved communities in Honduras and Jamaica. Dr. Ragu is looking forward to providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. She is currently a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, baking and playing the piano.
