Dr. Selena Do earned her Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences with Summa Cum Laude distinction from the University of Ottawa, followed by her Doctor of Optometry degree with honours from the University of Waterloo. Throughout her training, she gained comprehensive experience in various optometric specialties, including paediatrics, contact lenses, and completed an advanced rotation in binocular vision. Her clinical externships in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and the Greater Toronto Area focused on managing ocular emergencies such as metal foreign body removals, retinal detachments, eye infections, and co-management of diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, as well as post-operative care.
Dr. Do holds a special interest in myopia management, influenced by her personal experience as a high myope. Having undergone LASIK surgery herself, she now enjoys a life free from contacts and glasses! She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Do enjoys spending time with her friends and family, staying active, and plans to explore more travel opportunities following her graduation.
